The Caribbean African Reunion project (CAR) has established the first African language school in East London. Presently languages included: Ghanaian (Twi, Ga,) Nigeria (Yoruba, Ibo) Ethiopia (Amharic) and other East African languages such as Swahili.

This Cultural Music Festival is a celebration of African Languages and will, we hope, highlight the fact that our language is one of the most important aspects of our Culture. In celebrating this day therefore, we are celebrating the cultures of Africa.
